And what better way to end the semester than to attend DRC (District Rotaract Conference)?! Honestly, I really had fun during the conference, even if I wasn't directly involved in the activities most of the time.
During our journey to Eagle Ranch (PD), Shyan decided he'd drive the KL way by driving along the side of the road and cut into the lane later. As he was trying to cut in, Kit thought it'd be nice if he could charm the little girl in the car we were about to cut so the person driving wouldn't be upset. Haha. Kit is holding up Shyan's teddy by the way. (Don't ask.)
I remember reaching Eagle Ranch, asking for the dorm key, then when I entered the dorm I found out from Nicholas Lim (who just walked out from the room) that it was gonna be a mixed dorm. Guys AND girls together. Then he tells me, "The guys inside are all topless."
GREAT! O_O
*immediate flashbacks of DIC (District Interact Conference) 2008 incident*
Xiao Wen and I opened the door, lo and behold, Dan, Kit and Andy were topless and they proudly said "This is indecent exposure."
Tau punnnn.
But it was okay after a while. I got used to the sight of them. Even if Andy proudly walked around in his underwear.
During the first night we played some games. These guys had to make meringue the quickest. It was funny because Chandra (2nd from left) was telling Wei Kein (first from left) "This is a woman's job lah!"
Halfway through the game, the game masters decided to give them the sugar (which helps in the process) only if the 5 yolks were drunk up. Yogz did the honours. (Yum?) Then Dan from the other team did the same. Dang these guys are just amazing.
They had a slow start at first, but managed to do so first.
Then these guys fought back immediately. Haha
So they both won and got a prize - toilet rolls!
More games were played later which included lotsa candles and water balloons! During the water balloon game, all of them targeted one person to burst the balloon and everyone rushed to grab that person. Gun, who was beside me, said "I wanna be that person grabbing wei." after realising that role was better than the role of the person bursting the balloon on someone else.
Little did I know I was his victim in the end.
Love this shot! Wei Kein shows most of his legs. Poser sial.
The next morning we did the usual stuff (the formal bits) but there were lots of games afterwards. Everyone had to make 'lollipops' out of hula hoops and newspapers, which was later used for a water-filled plastic bag bombs (an alternative to water balloons) war. The target was the 'lollipop'. There was also a game where everyone had to pass water using the cups tied to their heads.
Obviously, for their case, it wasn't on their heads.
This is my FAVOURITE. HAHAHAHA!! Nick Ho looks so intense as he holds Yan Jye's chin HAHAHAHAHA!!
Sunil (with the stick) - "GO DOWN SOME MORE! GO DOWN SOME MORE!!" to Yan Jye haha.
In conjunction with Earth Hour 2009, we had a nightwalk in the jungle. It was quite cool. Nice view of stars. Fresh and cool air. Scary obstacles along the path. Then you've got "scandals" due to people having to hold hands during the nightwalk....................
Anyway, we left for the nightwalk with 36 people and returned with 37 haha.
Then the night's pillow talk session...*cough Sanjeev cough*
DRC was also the time a legend was born...aka Nicholas Goh who puked from the top bed (double decker bed) onto Dan and Vini who was sitting down on the bed below. Awesome man.
I had fun at DRC, honestly. It was just what I needed after a long semester! Kommy wish you were there laaaa.
